Google offers offline surfing for Android

Worrying about internet connection in the distant areas? Worrying about weak network while off the house? Well, Google has brought some delightful news for the android users. According to Google’s technicians, we now don’t have to think much as we can search offline. Let’s go deep into the matter.

Google is rolling out an update for its Android app that makes it easier to search the internet with an inconsistent internet connection. Users can make searches when offline and the Google app will store them, delivering the results later (with an optional notification) when the device gets a signal again. Now in the age of cloud computing and IoT, online storage is not so much of a headache. And it seems that Google has used that method perfectly!!

But for all these, you must have the latest version of Google installed on your phone. Google is rolling out an update for its Android app that makes it easier to search the internet with an inconsistent internet connection. Users can make searches when offline and the Google app will store them, delivering the results later (with an optional notification) when the device gets a signal again.

As Google product manager Shekhar Sharad writes in a blog post: “So the next time you lose service, feel free to queue up your searches, put your phone away and carry on with your day. The Google app will work behind-the-scenes to detect when a connection is available again and deliver your search results once completed.” You can queue up your searches on Google app to see results for them later when there’s stable connection. The app works behind-the-scenes to detect when a connection is available again and deliver search results once completed. The feature doesn’t drain your device’s battery.

Now here is something more, if you are using android one or stock android, there may be a chance that google will be more efficient in searches as especially the ANDROID ONE versions are solely controlled by Google itself.

While searching for topics with no Internet connection, the Google app will show you an alert that says the network connection isn’t available. It tells you the app will remember your search and notify when results are ready. You will have the option of either turning it on or off. It will again send you a notification when the Internet connection is back and your search results are ready.

Google’s new feature is quite useful, especially for countries like India where there isn’t a stable connection available everywhere just yet. There’s still a larger population in the country which isn’t connected or relies on 2G network.

With the new Google app, users wouldn’t need to wait for the connection to come back to search for topics again. You can simply enter search topics even when you’re not connected to the Internet and get results once you’re online.

Sorry IOS users, Google has not yet launched this for you, hope they do that soon. Stay updated with us for more.
